Laptops, Smartphones and PDAs are mobile extensions of PCs for applications beyond email. IT administrators have challenges in managing these mobile devices as they are more prone to leaving the security of office buildings and federal facilities. A mobility strategy is needed for these knowledge workers and line-of-business professionals. This presentation will describe the key parameters in the strategy for managing devices. Tactical areas include provisioning, securing, supporting and auditing laptops and mobile devices. Technologies discussed include wireless, security, and HSPD-12.
