The Federal government embraced cloud computing in 2009 with the launch of the GSA operated Apps.gov, which promised to bring efficient cloud computing services and infrastructure to U.S. government agencies.
While the Apps.gov initiative clearly brought cloud computing to the forefront of government technology initiatives, it also highlighted a wide-range of cloud computing concerns including security and reliability.
This session will highlight the Apps.gov cloud-computing business model and the lessons learned.
